Planning for the future
In addition to the day care cottage, WLCG plans to develop two further cottages specifically for longer respite, where loved ones can stay for two to three weeks under the supervision of friendly, caring, well-trained professional staff in a homely, non-clinical environment.
These cottages will accommodate a total of twenty temporary residents, each with their own room and individual bathroom facilities.
It is anticipated that while these cottages will remain under the auspices of Woodend Lifestyle Carers Group and will be run by a fully accredited aged care organisation.
